INTRODUCTION:
HUME PIPES/SPUN PIPES: Walter Reginald Hume (1873-1943) from Australia is the inventor of Hume Pipe. Hume pipe is the concrete pipe making process using the centrifugal process and also popularly known as spun process in many parts. This is most traditional method of producing the concrete pipes.
RCC Hume pipe refers to Reinforced Concrete cement pipes. The Hume/Spun pipe process is widely used in un-developed and developing countries. Generally these spun pipes are used for sewage, drainage purposes etc. The Hume/Spun pipe process is more labor oriented, and quality is largely depend on the operator skill. However this process has got its own significance in terms of social attachment as these units are operating since decades by the earlier generations. The developing countries are gradually shifted or shifting from Hume/ Spun process to latest Vertical cast process. The new technology aims interms of faster production with limited labour and most importantly the better quality product with consistency. NJHPI is small scale industry registered under directorate of industries in the year 2004 and 2012 , ISO 9001:2008 QMS International Certification Company. Originally NJHPI and MSPI is mainly producing precast concrete pipes as per BIS 458/2003. NJHPI is entitle to certify pipes as per BUREAU OF INDIAN STANDARD-458/2003. Regis trade with GOVERNMENT OF ODISHA DIRECTORATE OF INDUSTRIES. We also manufacture precast RCC HUME PIPE NP-1, NP-2,
NP-3, NP-4 and P-1, P-2, P-3 Class as per IS 458/2003 Specification and manhole frame & covers, RCC Tile, RCC Jali, RCC Half Round Pipe, Km Stone & Rout Indicator for different cable works etc. We under take to manufacture any type of precast product as per customers drawing & design. NJHPI has land ! 30,000 Sq. meters and build-up area @6000 Sq. meters. All put together plant is well equipped with laboratory to conduct tests on input raw materials as well as on product as per scheme of testing issued by BIS New Delhi. We have a strength of skilled lab ours and unskilled with civil engineers and quality control in processes. |
